Disordered Eating and Distorted Body Image frequently evolve through a complex interaction of emotions, genetics, and outside stressors. Viewing damaging behaviors as adaptive responses to life stress is helpful in successfully altering eating and exercise. A Non-Diet Approach focuses on helping individuals feel better about themselves so that they become more realistic and accepting of their bodies, eat in a more balanced, relaxed way and are comfortably physically active.
